Fluxo de Orenoco
Deixa me navegar, deixa me navegar, deixa o Orenoco fluir,
Deixa me alcanēar, deixa me encalhar nas praias de Trķpoli...
Deixa me navegar, deixa me navegar, deixa me destruir sobre a tua costa,
Deixa me alcanēar, deixa me encalhar muito além do Mar Amarelo...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
aumenta-o,aumenta-o,aumenta-o adeus...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos alcanēar, podemos encalhar muito além do Mar Amarelo,
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
Podemos navegar, podemos navegar...
Navega longe, navega longe, navega longe...
I dont know if my translation of "Turn it up" is right,I think that she is saying to the listener to increase the volume sound of the song.

Endymion, may I ask you why you call the river Orenoco instead of Orinoco

Is that river well known in Portugal or Brazil with the name Orenoco?
Just curious

| What you mean with long sleep?? |
I mean the stories of Greece:
"When the plains below were parched and brown and dusty with the heat of summer, on Mount Latums all was so cool,so fresh and green ,that one seemed to be in another world.the mountain was most beautiful of all at night, when the moon drove her chariot overhead, and flood every tree and all the grassy slopes with her pale light .....Endymion was a young shepherd.....then Selene begged of Jupiter that since Endymion was so very beautiful
he might always look as she had seen him in his sleep, insead of growing old as other mortals must.jupiter answered, "Even the god cannot give to mortals everlasting youth and beauty without giving them everlasting sleep;but endymion shall sleep forever and be forever young. So there,in a cave on Mount Latmus,Endymion sleeps on to this day;and his wonderful beautiful has not faded in the smallest degree...

I strongly disagree with people who think "Turn it up" is being said in the middle of the song; what Enya's singing sounds like 'tu-ni-da'; she's not singing any words (kind of like what Björk does a lot; I find it really irritating when people think Björk's singing without words in her songs are Icelandic. True, some of it is loosely based on Icelandic, but it's still not Icelandic.)

I agree with you Seth, I don't know what Enya is exactely singing but I think that if she would have liked to say "turn it up" that would appear on Orinoco Flow lyrics.

Flóš Orinókós
Lįt mig sigla, lįt mig sigla, lįt Orinókó flęša
Lįt mig komast, lįt mig draga aš landi į strendum Tripolis
Lįt mig sigla, lįt mig sigla, lįt mig skola upp į strönd žinni
Lįt mig komast, lįt mig skola upp langt fyrir handan Gulahaf
Frį Bissau til Palaueyja, ķ skugga Avalons
Frį Fidjieyjum til Tiree og Ebónķeyjanna
Frį Perś til Sebus, heyr ķ valdi Babżlons
Frį Balķ til Kalķs, langt fyrir nešan Kóralsęinn
Frį noršri til sušurs, Sušurhöfšaeyjum til Khartoums
Frį hinum djśpa Sę Skżja til Tunglseyjunnar
Ber mig į öldunum til landanna sem ég hef aldrei komiš til
Ber mig į öldunum til landanna sem ég hef aldrei séš
Viš getum siglt, viš getum siglt ķ flóši Orinókós
Viš getum sigl, viš getum siglt... siglt burt, siglt burt, siglt burt...
Viš getum stżrt, viš getum nįlgast meš Rob Dickins viš stżriš
Viš getum varpaš öndinni léttar, sagt bless Ross og yfirrįšasvęši hans
Viš getum sigl, viš getum siglt... siglt burt, siglt burt, siglt burt...
Viš getum komist, viš getum dregiš aš landi į strendum Tripolis

Welcome Endymion!!
Thanks to the translations! How wonderful with all these languages. (To my eyes it seems Portuguese is more similar to Latrin than 'Spanish' Spanish.)
Take care!
Many new people around since I were here last...

More similar to Latrin?

Seth: Why is "we can sail, we can sail" "viš getum sigl, viš getum siglt" in some places and "viš getum siglt, viš getum siglt" in others? Sigl or siglt?

Oops!

My mistake! Thanks.

I didn't feel like the typing the same lines over and over so I copied and pasted... unfortunately an errored line at that, as you spotted. It is '
siglt', not 'sigl'. My mistake.

another mistake; it's "Sušureyjum", not "Sušurhöfšaeyjum". Ebudę, or the Hebrides, is "Sušureyjar" in Icelandic.
