Reminding you all the Enya received two nominations (Amarantine-Best New Age Album and Drifting-Best Instrumental) for the 49th Grammy Awards, she previously won 3 Grammy Awards in Best New Age album category (1992 Shepherd Moons, 1996 TMOT, 2001 ADWR) and never personally collected any of them...I now tell you that:
Enya is not listed among announced performers on GRAMMY.com at the moment. Any official news from Enya's official site?  For those who are anyway interested The 49th GRAMMY Awards will take place Sunday, Feb. 11, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will be supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide and XM Satellite Radio, and covered online at GRAMMY.yahoo.com -------------------- Please Enya save the whales! Thanks for the link Michelle. Congratulations to the trio. I think it's awesome that Enya has won. this award is well deserved. I wish it would have been televised so we could have seen her accept the grammy since according to :p she was there.

Enya!   very charming... very charming indeed  I simply love her dress, stylish yet uncommon which makes it all the more special like we are used from her. I have to agree with Violet on the styles, different cultures and ages, it seems they mingle well. Instead of the Maya's I had to think of the Aztecs, but I wonder if there are very big differences between them. Maybe someone else will come with info that it was actually Olmec or something like that  *mumbles a few minutes about how beautiful Enya's smile is...*

I was watching Grammy and I was very disapointed with what I saw there....I donīt want to offend anybody (thi s opinion is mine)but what musician they shown? They didnīt show the best one (Enya) they jsut shown all everage people, some rappers or what.
 (there might be some exceptions) but the most different, the one that makes MUSIC wasnīt shown...

I think this time it's Enya who refused to perform at the Grammy ceremony but this is only what I think and obviously they only show what makes the show on TV. Apparently a plain and simple award acceptance is not worthy (in the opinion of the management of Grammy Award TV show) to be "televisioned".

I was also disappointed they didn't show her accepting her award or on the red carpet on the pre- show. I thought the show was pretty boring myself. it would have been more exciting it Enya had performed or had been shown but I am so happy she won the award.

I agree with Willow. A performance or at least receiving the award would have been nice.
IMO, I don't really like Enya's new dress. It is indeed interesting but I prefer her usual long sleeve dresses. |

Anyway, Enya is not a normal person, she not even a mormal mega-star of the music. She's a genius and a genius is not normal. We all should try to respect and love her for what she really is instead of expeting her to be like any of us.
