I'm not particularly surprised about the album being nominated as previous ones have.

I'm surprised and delighted at Drifting. It's a great instrumental and really deserves the nomination.

Of course, it makes me wonder why some of the previous instrumentals were never nominated. I'm thinking particularly of The first of Autumn and The Memory of Trees.

The Memory Of Trees was indeed worthy of a Grammy. Who knows, perhaps they added a nomination hoping Enya will attend the show this time wink.gif Drifting is a splendid song though, worthy of an award for sure.

Has Enya ever appeared at the Grammy's? I've a feeling she will this time with two nominations. It would be nice to see her perform Drifting (live).

I have always loved Drifting. Someone on another forum said a year ago that they wished Drifting had been the opening track on the album and that the album had been called 'The Drifting Tide'. This made perfect sense to me.

Someone can correct me, but I don't think she has ever attended the show itself. I had read that the last time she was up for an award, she won it, but didn't attend because it wasn't believed that she'd win. Again, though, I don't follow that stuff much anyway, so if she was there, I stand corrected. I do recall the time she was supposed to because I was in LA for a trade show that week. I think it was 2000 or 2001.

As far as I know, Enya hasn't attended any Grammys, so I think that is correct.

Edit: Actually, I remember hearing that she did a long time ago, but maybe I'm wrong..
